Coffee cherries which are grown with lots of Aloha are hand-picked here. Those coffee cherries don’t taste like the well-known coffee flavor. They are sweet!
Harvest season starts in August and goes through late January. If you are visiting Kona during the harvest season, please visit UCC Hawaii Kona Coffee Estate and taste the coffee cherry.
The UCC-Hawaii estate and retail store will be closed on February 15 & 16, 2014. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Normal business hours will resume from February 17, 2014.
Started in 1970, in celebration of Kona coffee farmers, the festival aims to promote, preserve, and perpetuate the history and culture of Kona coffee. This year’s festival is from November 1-10 with a variety of family-friendly events held each day all over Kailua-Kona.
One signature event of the festival is the Kona coffee picking contest at the UCC Kona Coffee Estate on November 3 at 8:30am (registration begins at 7:30am). With prizes for competition winners, food and refreshments, and fun for all, everyone from children to adults is invited to experience the Kona coffee harvest.
Come visit the Big Island of Hawaii and join the festivities! Visit www.konacoffeefest.com for a complete list of this year’s events.
UCC-Hawaii is proud to announce our newly designed website. As the site runs on a new system, you will have to re-register your online account. The website will be able to accept orders without creating an account, but we recommend that you do, so that the system can automatically fill in your information each time you place an order.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of adjustment. Most of all we are excited to bring you this news!
