Aloha Kona Marathon Running ʻOhana,
We hope you are all well and have adjusted to the COVID-19 situation in your community. We want to reach out periodically throughout this waiting game with updates as we receive relevant news.New Dates for the UCC Hawaii Kona Marathon
We continue to be respectful of your health and financial risks in determining a course of action moving forward.
While it¹s true that COVID-19 related conditions seem to be improving in various spots around the country, we as a state, county, organization, group of sponsors, and community of runners simply cannot guarantee the safe and rewarding experience that you deserve at this time.
We have made the difficult decision to postpone the June 2021 event to June 25-26, 2022.Planning for 2022
We will continue to have an ongoing dialogue with key partners, including state and county officials, and will provide you with updates as they become available.
Look out for regular emails with the latest news and updates about the UCC Hawaii Kona Marathon and the changing situation on Hawaii Island.
Stay safe and healthy, socially distance, wear a mask, and wash your hands!
We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Hawaiian shores in 2022.
Mahalo, Brent Imonen Race Director Kona Marathon
Well here we are and the year and picking season are almost over. We are still sun-drying cherries and we are in the last round for picking coffee. We have been cleaning and pruning our trees, taking off the dead branches and putting them into large trash bags with a little oil inside so we can keep control over any insects. We are also planting over 1500 trees this season and our nursery has plenty of seedlings growing. This way, we have our own keiki trees for planting and keep outside pests away.
We are following all Hawaii Health Department standards for this pandemic. Our Retail Store and Espresso Bar are open. Order our famous Affogato from the Espresso Bar and enjoy the view. You can sit on our Lanai and social distance with no problem.
Maybe you would like to take a little walk around the farm. We have free Farm tours and you can do a self-guided tour of our farm! We hope to see you soon and “Enjoy a taste of Aloha”
We will start selling Estate (our own farm) Peaberry from November 16th.
(The Special discount sale will end on November 15th.)
Coffee cherries usually contain two beans, but very rarely one of the two degenerates, and the other is large and rounded. It is called “Peaberry” and is a very rare coffee with a harvest of less than 5% of the total.
Even though the harvest of Kona coffee itself is small, it is even smaller, so it is a product that many people have been waiting for every year.
We hope you and your Ohana are healthy and safe during this pandemic. We really miss having our visitors coming for our Roasting and Farm tours. We hope that you miss us as much as we miss you! We thought you might enjoy seeing what we are up to!
We have been cleaning and pruning our trees as the coffee beans are continually growing. We have had lots of rain this year! Plenty of cherry is starting to come so it is picking time! We will be picking until December!
Our store has been open throughout the quarantine for takeout only. We are following all Hawaii Health Department standards for this pandemic times. Unfortunately, visitors to our islands still must quarantine so we are depending on our locals to help us as we are supporting our local vendors. Once they lift the quarantine, we hope to see you back for a visit.
Our Retail Store and Espresso Bar will be open September 1st. You can sit on our Lanai and social distance with no problem. Order our famous Affogato from the Espresso Bar and enjoy the view. Maybe you would like to take a little walk around the farm. We hope to see you soon and “Enjoy a taste of Aloha”
